    Description

My mom and dad spent their wedding night at the then-new Dude Rancher Hotel in Billings, MT, in 1957.  The crazy thing is I didn't know that until I was going through some of my dad's old stuff.  And found this brochure and creamer.  And I thought mom was the sentimental one!
When I was a young man I had thought that the Dude Rancher Hotel was ANCIENT... as old as Lincoln Jr. High across the street.  Older than any hotel in downtown Billings.  I used to eat breakfast at the Dude Rancher when I worked at the Billings Gazette which fired me for using my press pass to get into a sold-out Styx concert in the summer of 1981.  My wife and kids and/or my wife and I have stayed at the Dude Rancher many times and as recently as 2-1/2 years ago.  We stayed at the Sheraton, too, but we love The Dude Rancher better and there's plugs to plug in your diesel truck outside your door on cold winter nights!
The brochure is awesome and a hoot.  As is the little creamer.   A Billings Time Capsule.  My wife and I are massively downsizing and getting rid of practically everything and moving to FL.
